The April survey of Lehigh Valley businesses recorded a 5.2% increase in the Lehigh Valley Business Sentiment Index, the BSI, over last April's level. It is also soaring by 29% above its January 2021 level. However, the index is still 3% shy of its pre-pandemic level and has been flat since January 2022. The Lehigh Valley Business Sentiment Index, the BSI, is based on the results of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce-Kamran Afshar quarterly survey of local businesses, which has been conducted since 1998.
